About This Portfolio

My portfolio, built as one long page you can get through just by scrolling. No tabs, no modals. The dark sections are water and the light ones are plates sitting on top of it. The water is a 1-bit dither drawn by a WebGL fragment shader, so every dot is either on or off. A small wave simulation runs in plain JS, and the shader bends and thickens the dots using its height and slope. Move your mouse and you push waves through it. There are koi drawn in the same dots that wander, leave wakes and bolt when your cursor gets close, plus lily pads that ride the waves. Click to drop a stone and the nearby koi come check if it's food. It's not. The letters of my name float on the water, and when you scroll, the light plates push waves at their edges and bob on them a little. Project screenshots start as 1-bit prints, made with Cloudinary URL transforms, and the colour version slides open over them like a shutter as you scroll. Stack: Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind CSS v4 and Lenis for smooth scrolling, hosted on Vercel. Lenis is the only motion library. Everything else is CSS scroll-driven animations or plain browser APIs (WebGL, canvas, popover, IntersectionObserver). No CMS and no database, all the content lives in the repo. One fun bug: mediump in the shader runs at full precision on Windows and Mac but really is 16-bit on Linux, so the dither only broke on my own machine. Switched it to highp.
