How portfolio review works on DEV/STATION.
By DEV/STATION · Published
Choose Universal review or an available admin before submitting. Your chosen admin and superadmins can review an assigned submission. A superadmin can step in without moving it to another queue. Submission records your work for checking; approval makes it available in the public archive.
Choose the queue that fits your submission
Universal review makes your pending work available to the shared reviewer team. Selecting an admin directs it to that admin, while superadmins retain access so the work does not depend entirely on one person’s availability.
The choice is saved with your draft. If that admin becomes unavailable before you submit, choose another available admin or Universal review. An already submitted portfolio keeps its assignment even if the admin is later removed or changes role.
What the checks establish
The submission service checks the website link, thumbnail, account limits and duplicate indicators. Screening can flag a problem or stop a submission. It does not prove ownership or guarantee the safety of an external website.
Give reviewers a useful description of your contribution. A reviewer can request changes with feedback. Nobody, including a superadmin, can review their own work.
If the selected admin is unavailable
Superadmins can inspect pending work across all queues and approve or request changes directly. You do not need to create a second submission just to reach a different reviewer.
There is no guaranteed response time. Check My Work for the current queue and decision, and use the contact page if you need to explain a problem. Avoid duplicate submissions while your work is awaiting review.
Booster recognition and manual review
Verified active DEV/STATION Discord server boosters may qualify for automatic approval of valid Universal submissions when checks pass. Selecting an admin always requires manual review, including for boosters.
Booster recognition and priority features do not guarantee an editorial award or a score. A priority feature does not change who can access an assigned submission.
Revisions and the final decision
A revision retains the portfolio’s original reviewer assignment. Editing an approved portfolio queues the changes for review while the published version remains available. Work returned for changes can also be revised through the existing edit flow.
My Work distinguishes the chosen review queue from the staff member who made the decision. Until publication, assigned pending work is available to its owner, assigned admin and superadmins. Publication follows the site’s visibility settings.
